We are a nonprofit organization ran by your donations, supplies, and our wonderful volunteers.
Florida Kids Helping Kids actually started off as a group of 4 teens as the PTO TEENS at Belleview Middle School. It was hard getting adults to volunteer so we enlisted the youth for help. During one of our fundraisers for the school our group was approached about becoming a team for the upcoming Relay for Life event. Our group had the youngest team captain in Marion County. During the event, we were approached by a Cub Scout leader telling us that one of our very own students had bone CANCER and that Tyler needed a walk-in shower. Our youth group swung into action and we started shifting fund raising for a cause we knew to a kid that they knew they could help. Soon the community joined on board with our team and Tyler not only had a walk-in shower, but a car and computer as well so he could be connected to more than just doctor visits. This made our youth group feel needed and they voted to become a nonprofit so we could help our community and other kids in need.
Thank you for joining us in fundraising for our community projects.
Our goal is to raise 30,000 dollars for a F250 truck for our travel trailer for remote community center to reach children in remote areas that do not have access to a community center.
We need help from the public, to become our investors, so we can obtain Fairgrounds that will not only help us but other nonprofits as well.
We need 5,000,000 dollars then we are going to be able to go purchase land.
Some of the programs we have started include the Marion County Fair, Shopping for a Sibling, tutoring, and summer arts and crafts.
